"Quando si lavora per piacere agli altri si può non raggiungere lo scopo ma le cose che si compiono per far piacere a noi stessi hanno sempre la probabilità di interessare qualcuno."

The Factory-Art Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of unusual fusion between art and craft.

Pottery is one of the oldest art forms on Earth, but it didn't start out being considered art. For years, pottery has been created by craftspeople strictly for utilitarian purposes with little consideration for how they looked. These pots were hand-built, fired in bonfires and served the purpose of carrying grains, water and other liquids, as well as storing seeds. Shortly thereafter they began to use pots for cooking.
From the beginning, people used pottery as a way of constructing their social identity, or showing who they were and how they were different from other people.

The works are not changed in the centuries and the the sight of these objects without time evoke our past, our memories.

Parallel works of great masters, demonized and mocked at the beginning of their appearance, over time understood and appreciated, today companions of our age on this path, always keen, always daring, always aggressive.
(AUBERTIN, BEUYS, DALÍ, HARTUNG, LAM, MATTA, MIRÓ, SPOERRI, TÀPIES)

Do you know my age?
A good question for our brains.

You are welcome!
